This time I’m exploring the minimal end of the ambient spectrum and experimenting with generative processes. The result is probably the most languid podcast yet. Insomniacs take note!
The last three-quarters of this one was recorded during an all day performance at Newburgh Open Studios on September 25, 2015. There’s a lot of material left from that day that will likely show up in future podcasts.
This month’s podcast is harvested from recordings of shows i played in July 2015.
There was an art opening, an in-store and a performance with the dance project I play with, The River Flows Two Ways.
As always, listening at low volume, preferably while horizontal, will provide the best results. Do not listen to Errant Space while operating heavy machinery.
Multi-instrumentalist Dean Sharp, came down from Kingston to Rude Anagrams Studio to sit in as special guest on this months podcast. Dean, in addition to being a fantastic drummer, is a producer and soundscapist. He brought his guitar (and mando-guitar!) and a few effects over for a bit of a space out.
The resulting podcast is my favorite yet! Its a bit more soundscape and a bit less ambient than usual, but I think its an amazing audio journey, and I hope you enjoy it.
